Stephen Smiley, DMD

Dr. Stephen Smiley, born and raised in Tampa, Florida, has grown up around the field of
Dentistry his entire life. His role model, who he proudly calls Dad, inspired him to pursue
Dentistry. He attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate degree in Nutritional
Sciences and became heavily involved with giving back through organizations such as the
Muscular Dystrophy Association. His influences and experiences sparked a passion for
Dentistry, which allows him to connect and help people every day.

From college, he stayed at the University of Florida for dental school (Go Gators!) where he
graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree near the top of his class. This enabled
him to pursue an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the South Texas Veterans
Hospital residency, a top national program, where he proudly served our veterans. Dr.
Smiley elevated his skills to include implants and bone grafting, cosmetic dentistry,
endodontics/root canals, clear aligner therapy, sleep apnea, and TMD/myofascial pain. He
is passionate about giving his patients the smiles they want and deserve while making
them feel comfortable in his chair.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Smiley enjoys live music, spending time with family and friends,
traveling and supporting our Tampa Teams! Go Bucs and Bolts!
Dr. Smiley is excited to follow in his dad’s footsteps and join the team at Friendly Smiles.
He is thrilled for the opportunity to return home and provide excellent care to his
community which is so dear to his heart.
