At Friendly Smiles Dental Care, we like to make sure you know there’s always a little more about our Doctors than meets the eye. We sat down with Dr. Carter to talk through some fun questions to help you get to know him.
When did you first know you wanted to become a dentist?
My Junior year of High School is when I decided I’d choose the pre-dental route in college. I was spending some time with my dentist and fell in love with the amount of patient interaction dentistry provided.
What is one fun fact a patient would be surprised to learn about you?
I learned how to drive a stick in a dune buggy on a beach in Mexico.
What is your favorite hobby outside of the office?
After work you’ll find me at the gym. It’s my time to destress and do something physical. I’m a huge sports fan and support all the Tampa teams, along with my undergrad, the University of Florida. On the weekend you can find me wakeboarding, playing cornhole, and looking for any excuse I can to get friends together.
Have you ever lived in an unusual/uncommon place?
In College I lived in my friend’s one car garage that we converted to a “studio apartment”. It was aptly named the “Zack Shack” and even had its own sign.
